Set a yearly family review
SecureKeep fills in a yearly event in your own calendar, so once a year you and your family can look through what's in your vault together.
-
Tap Set a yearly family review
In SecureKeep, open Settings and look under Tools. Tap Set a yearly family review. You'll find the same button on the Share Vault Access screen.
-
Check the event
Your phone's own new-event screen opens. On iPhone it opens inside SecureKeep. On Android it opens in your calendar app.
It's filled in with the title Family review, the note "Look through your family information together and update anything that's changed.", a date one month from today at 10:00, and a repeat every year.
-
Invite your family member
Change the date if another day suits you better. To send the event to the person who'd need your vault, add them as a guest (on iPhone, an invitee) right there, before you save.
-
Save it
Save the event. On iPhone, SecureKeep then shows Saved to your calendar. On Android, you save it in your calendar app.
Good to know
- The calendar event says only 'Family review'. Nothing from your vault goes in your calendar.
- SecureKeep never reads your calendar and doesn't ask for calendar permission.
- The event lives in your calendar. To move it or stop it repeating, change it there.
If it doesn't work
- Android: "No calendar app found."
- Add a yearly event called Family review in any calendar you use, by hand. Or install a calendar app and tap the button again.
- Your family member didn't get the event
- Open the event in your calendar and check they're listed as a guest. If not, add them there.
- iPhone: you didn't see "Saved to your calendar."
- The event wasn't saved, perhaps because you tapped Cancel. Tap Set a yearly family review again and save it.
